The UTF-8 support is painful to do, the plugins are not a problem, they already send the data to the main WiMood app as UTF8, however the UI's rich edit box doesn't work stable if UTF8 is on, tags are getting lost and breaking the whole mood functionality. We will consider improving this option in the next release. The WMP issue with turning off the player - it's not how it is supposed to work. When turned on, WiMood does show the currently selected mood in the list, without checking what the mood does, whether it uses player information or not, it does show that mood. Restoring option is only supposed to work when you turn off the extra or close it. However, the script language is flexible enough (although hard to track when writing bigger scripts) so you can write a script that checks if any player is currently running, if running then show some music info, if not, then just show some other mood. Very helpful function for that is the $(array), you can write a switch() case algo with that. In the previous releases of WiMood we had the $OldMood variable that stored the mood "restoring" mood, maybe we could turn it on again. Thanks for your feedback!
This is another issue I found out just now. If I turn off WiMood (by left-clicking the icon in the system tray), it restores my mood automatically, but if I just close the media player, WiMood will remain active instead of becoming disabled and my mood on Skype won't restore back to my default mood. Please find a way to solve this.
Most of my music is japanese, and thus, most title and artist names contain japanese characters, which are displayed as ????s on my Skype mood. Are you guys thinking about adding UTF-8 support for WiMood? Aside from this issue, I'm pretty happy I found out about this extra. Keep up the good work, and please reply, even if it's to say 'no'.
For one, I am shocked there are barely any comments here. You did an amazing job developing WiMood. There's a few minor issues here and there, but overall, excitingly amazing. Superb work, Pencheff. What's your Skype name? I'd like to talk to you about Wimood beyond just using it :p If you'd prefer to keep your Skype name private, send me an email.
Yeah there is but that is not the idea. Music Avatar should work perfect, except if it already had downloaded the filter.cfg file with another WiMood version or at a bad moment when your internet was down.... Can you please post a message to us in the Support section, include your email / skypename, we'll try to help you fix it
This is great! However, the music avatars don't work for me. Is there some way I can manually add them?
